One of the many classes I attended at the last Eastern Draperies & Window Coverings Conference in Springfield, MA was a reupholstery/slipcover class. It was definitely a learning experience and loads of fun, too! Shown here is a reupholstered ottoman from a vendor at the convention -- these make a great addition to your living space and can be customized to complement and enhance your decor.
